Welcome back to a brand new post! I hope you are all enjoying the Summer and the weather we have had so far.
Today we are going to be talking all things fashion and how you can get this look that I created:
I recently graduated form the Dublin Institute of Design having studied the Fashion Styling course that they run. As part of the course, we had to conduct our own 'mini shoot' of three separate looks that intertwined into one theme.
As a result, I came up with this look as part of my 'Day to Night' theme.
I picked up this beautiful red dress from Bershka in Dundrum. It was €17.99 which I thought was a pretty decent price for a dress like this. It is almost full length and fell just above my ankles. I love th wrap style top and the belt around the waist. both of these details give you a lovely shape and make you feel great. The colour is a real pop of colour which is perfect for the Summer!
As the red is so bold and really speaks for itself, I kept shoes and accessories minimal. These brown leather heels are from Cotton On. I got them over a year ago when I was in New Zealand but any sort of sandal would be perfect - heeled or not!
The sunglasses are Calvin Klein that I bought in New York for about €20 (bargain hunter) but again, similar styles are available in many stores such as Penneys and New Look.
There you have it! The main piece is obviously the dress. If you can get something with a strong colour like this, the outfit is pretty much made. you do not have to go and spend a fortune on accessories etc as it is best to keep them subtle.
Wishing you all a fantastic week.
Until next time,
