Working with Sorcha Walsh: Makeup Artist

Hi everyone,

I am back with a brand new post for you all today! The past two months have been so hectic since becoming the Clare Rose and I am loving every minute of it! In this short period of time, I have met many new inspiring people, travelled to new parts of the country I have never visited before and of course developed my wardrobe and style in the lead up to Tralee in a few short weeks.
To see more of my wardrobe and what I am doing to prepare for Tralee, head over to my Snapchat: Styleah.

Back to today's post. I was lucky enough to work with a very talented makeup artist called Sorcha Walsh. Sorcha is based in Co. Limerick and works with the amazing new brand Charlotte Tilbury! I am a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury products so when I got in contact with Sorcha, I was super excited to meet her and start working with her.

Last Sunday I attended a girlie day out in Spanish Point, Co. Clare as the Clare Rose and helped to judge best dressed. For this event, Srcha kindly did my makeup for the event and I absolutely loved it! We decided to go with a dark smokey eye and a nude lip to match my red dress that I was to wear.

Sorcha is a very talented makeup artist and I am so happy with the look she did on me. It made my eyes pop and many people complimented it on the day!
Below is the list of products used to achieve this look:

  • Cailyn HD Full Coverage Foundation applied with Oh Wow Brush
  • MAC Strobe Cream to add some dewiness to the skin and highlight to the cheekbones (I need to buy this stuff :)
  • Inglot eyeshadows 314 and 373 as a base. 314 is an orange colour which worked perfectly to make my blue eyes pop
  • MAC Saddle and Warm Brew to add depth to the base
  • Contour was MAC Matte Bronze (Sorcha loves this shade and highly recommends it)
  • Pippa Palette highlight 'Lulu' as a highlight, not forgetting the cupid's bow!
  • Lips: PS Lip Liner in Nude from Penneys
  • Lipstick: Inglot 264
  • Setting spray by Urban Decay 'All Night Long'
  • Lashes by Kiss in 'Au Natural' with Duo Glue
  • Mascara: Charlotte Tilbury 'Full Fat Lash'
There you have it! A huge thank you to Sorcha Walsh for doing this makeup for me. Her contact details are below:
