What I Wore: Christmas Party

Hi everyone,

Now that Christmas is in full swing I felt it appropriate to do a blog post about an outfit I wore to my work party over the weekend :)
My original plan was to wear a beautiful black and bronze-sequinned dress but thanks to Storm Desmond, that plan had to be changed! It was awful out but I still managed to put something together that kept me warm and a little bit stylish too ;)
Our night started off with dinner in a lovely restaurant in town followed by a trip to a few pubs so the dress code was, well, dressy!

I opted for my trusted black Mollie Jeggings from River Island. I just love these jeggings and could not recommend them enough to everyone! This style are high waisted which I am a huge fan of and always have been. They compliment your waist and give you a great shape.
Black skinnies are a wardrobe staple and will always save you when you need to dress up or look somewhat put together ;)   Styled with any long/short sleeved top and jacket or blazer and you are good to go. That was my mentality on Saturday night when deciding what to wear ;)

My black and white aztec print top was a gift I received during the week from my sister in New Zealand. It has thin straps that come in at the back which is elegant. Any top that you have which is a light chiffon material will go perfectly with these jeans. The choice of colour is up to you as most will go with black (no navy ;)

I then paired this with my new suede jacket from Willow. The brand is 'Noisy May' and it is a beautiful khaki colour. I purchased this last week at the store opening in Galway and was delighted to give it a night out! the jacket is mid length and so sits just below the hips.

As far as shoes go, I opted with black heeled boots with a gold zip. You could easily wear black or nude heels or even tan coloured boots too.

This double layered coin necklace is from Penneys, €3. My neck was quite bare so I added this last minute. the zips on the jacket are silver so that is why I opted for this chain.

And there you have it, my Christmas night out look! Very easily put together with my jeans being the staple item!

I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for reading,
Leah xx
