The Ultimate Nudes

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all well and surviving in this terrible weather! As I write this, we have just been informed of an orange weather warning from midday until 9pm tonight! Storm Barney is on the way!
Today I bring you the 'Ultimate Nude Nail Polishes'.
Basically, the best nude polishes that I have used and loved and always go back to when I need a chic, sophisticated look on my nails.
The polishes I have chosen are all budget-friendly (of course) and widely available from either Boots or your local pharmacy!

First up: SOSU by Suzanne Jackson in 'Money Talks'.
A rich beige coloured polish that glides on easily and gives a gel finish. I love these polishes and they have excellent staying power. I apply two coats and usually get 4-5 days before I begin to see chips or cracks. The colour is a real nude and goes with anything I wear so I can be sure to always have my nails looking lovely with this colour.
These polishes retail at €7.99 or €7.70 in Penneys stores across Ireland.

So shiny! Give a gel look without the lamp

Next Up: Wet'n'Wild in 'Milk'.
This is a creamy light pink that leaves a shiny finish and perfect nude on your nails. You need 2-3 coats to get the full colour as it is quite light. Therefore, to avoid any obvious lines you will need a few coats. This has been a favourite of mine for at least a year and at just €2.99, you can't go wrong ;)

Matte Nude

Next Up: NYC 'New York Spring'
A baby pink colour with a slight hint of shimmer. This is gorgeous and surprisingly and has strong staying power. I bought this for €3.79 and did not expect it to stay on as long as it did. I got 5 days out of 2 coats which was great for a polish that is so inexpensive. It is darker than the Wet n Wild colour and has shimmer so they are very different.
Nice and bright

Lastly: Catrice Luxury Nudes Soft Matte in  'Fresh Love Affair'
The Matte range from Catrice are very interesting. Once applied, they dry so quickly and literally look matte and chalk like when on your nails! Not in a bad way, in a cool and different way. It's hard to explain haha! But it is so matte and soft it almost doesn't feel like nail polish but it is. It is a light pink with blue undertones that shine through in the light. I love it! I purchased mine in Penneys for €3 I think, or else €3.50. Either way, it was very inexpensive. However, it lasts no time at all before chipping :( I applied mine for a wedding the night before and less than a day later it had started to chip! Perhaps a base coat or overcoat could prevent this but for someone looking for just a polish, this won't last too long but the colour is beautiful!

So shiny!

There you have it, my favourite nude polishes at the moment :) I hope you like it and get some inspiration :D Please leave your favourite nail polishes in the comments below, I would love to hear :)
Thank you for reading,
Leah xx
